SHARON’S UN-STUFFED PEPPERS
This will be a family fave!…
1 lb. ground beef (or ground chicken or turkey)
1 small onion, diced
1 large bell pepper, chopped (red, yellow, orange or green)
1 can (29 oz.) diced tomatoes
1 (10 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (14 0z) can beef broth
2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
1 tsp. garlic powder
sea salt & pepper, to taste
Optional: before serving top with shredded cheddar cheese
Brown and crumble ground beef along with chopped green peppers and onion over medium-high heat. When cooked thru drain excess grease.
Add diced tomatoes, beef broth, tomato sauce and stir all well.
Then add seasonings; garlic powder, salt & pepper (to taste).
Cover and let simmer on low-medium heat for about 30 minutes. Just before serving add cooked rice.
